To Mimi's House We Go!

So Sweden decided last night at dinner that she wanted to go to Mimi's house. We called Mimi and made arrangements to meet in Meridian today for the "swap" after we visited with the Randalls. Sweden couldn't understand why she couldn't go to Mimi's house last night after dinner..."Mommy, the sun is still up!" I must say she was excited to get to Meridian today. The house is certainly quiet here, and Steven and I went to dinner without having to pay anyone when we got home... but I miss her terribly and am already ready for her to come back home! Hopefully she will be ready to come back soon. She certainly had no problem bidding me farewell today! "Mommy, don't be sad. I will come back." Thanks for the reassurance sweet girl.
This is Sweden's "Baby Allie". The last time the Randall's came to visit, Sweden was promised a toy of her choice if she shared her toys with Katie Caroline and Allie while they were here. Well, when we went to get our new toy, Sweden wanted this doll and nothing else! She also decided to name her doll Baby Allie. I am sure when Allie grows up she will be flattered! I know her Daddy was! ;)

Road Trip!

So today was a very exciting day! We met Carrie Beth and her girls in Tuscaloosa. We had a super yummy lunch and then cruised the mall for a bit. I must say that the girls were C-R-A-Z-Y excited and wore the Mommies out before it was all said and done! Carrie Beth and I used to have our parents meet in Carthage (half way from Jackson to Starkville). So thankfully we now have Tuscaloosa (half way between Starkville and Birmingham). We started visiting each other on weekends in the 7th grade. Crazy that our girls have started as well! I hope we will continue to have such fun reunions! It will be even crazier when Baby Allie is old enough to hang with the big girls! Sweden loves Katie Caroline and Allie!

Katie Caroline has a matching Princess umbrella! Sweden was very excited about that!

Can't beat a table with a view!

Baby Allie hanging with the big girls!

The fountain was a hit! After they threw their pennies in they tried desperately to get them back out!

Sweet friends!

Shout Out

I must give a shout out to Meredith for my fancy new header. Don't you love it?

Safari Camp

Sweden is going to a Safari Camp this week with her good buddy Jack. She is loving it! We went on Monday and got her new backpack, lunch box, thermos, sandwich tray, umbrella and folder - all of which are Tinkerbell! She wore them around Wal-Mart and has all but slept with them since then. In the process of shopping for school/camp supplies we also found some $5 snow boots! She has been wearing those as well! So today when I picked her up from camp she was wearing her binoculars and lion necklace that she made. She was also proudly carrying her new magnifying bug catcher... with none other than a giant ROACH inside! Ewww! Her teacher said she chose it out of all the bugs available! I guess the bug man who sprayed our house yesterday made an impression on her! I know it wasn't me, I found a dead one in the house this week and used a shovel from the garage to pick it up and flush it. GrOsS!

Walking through Wal-Mart with her new goodies!

Playing "Safari" in the yard yesterday. Said she was in the jungle!

Finally! A rainy day to use the new umbrella!

The new Petry Pet. Too bad I couldn't get the picture flipped. Darn.

River Weekend

I guess we will kick this blog off with some fun pictures of our past weekend in Athens, Alabama. We went to stay with Meredith and her family at their "River House." It was truly a blast. A very much needed relaxing weekend. I have to say that the best moment of the trip was late the last night when Sweden and Jack were watching "Sleeping Beauty". (Don't tell Jack's friends I told you he watched that - he would kill me!) Anyway, Jack came running out on the porch and crawled up in his mom's lap. He was closely followed by Sweden shouting his name. When we asked them what was wrong, Sweden sadly said "Jack won't play Sleeping Beauty with me." And we asked how you even play "Sleeping Beauty" and she proceeded to tell us that "You hold hands and dance". She was so sad that Jack wouldn't dance with her. It was truly the sweetest thing!

Back Again

So, I am feeling inspired by my friend Meredith to re-start my blog. Although I am not the creative genius I know she is, I am going to attempt to start fresh. Mostly just want to share with all the joy we receive from our sweet Sweden each and every day. I am truly amazed at her train of thought and her imagination. So, I guess in this blog, we will let Sweden tell her story for all of you!
