Is Bop here yet?

Bop came to visit this past weekend. We all had a blast! It was a very relaxing weekend. Thankfully Steven didn't have to work. We were able to have lots of pool time, lots of fun eating out times and mostly lots of play time!

Fun at the McWane Center

We went to the McWane Center last week with some new friends. It was so much fun! Sweden has never been really into the activities there, but boy what a difference a year makes!! We will try another time on the dome screen I-Max movie. She wasn't thrilled about that at all. It was an "Under the Sea" production and she kept asking "Mommy, are we floating??" I began to think we were! The local Fox news station was there filming and she and her friend Meredith were on TV for a brief second. I must say that the little garage was by far her favorite part. She learned how to change a tire and work under the hood!

I love my big sister!

I get some fun pictures of Sweden and Jumbee together from time to time. They are rare! By the time I can grab the camera they are usually done having fun! Here are a few recents!

First Day of School

So today, August 12, 2009 was Sweden's first day of 3 year old pre-school. She was super excited! And she finally got to use her Tinkerbell gear!! She had a wonderful day. Her new teacher, Ms. Gita, is going to teach the children a lot this year about organization and following directions. Yippee!! She has 10 other students in her class so there definitely has to be some order in the classroom! Good luck Ms Gita!
Ready for school!
One day she will grow into her backpack!
Finally there!

Beach Baby!

So, we just recently got back from a fun trip to Destin, FL. We went with 2 other moms and their children. It was a super fun trip and was totally relaxing. So glad Sweden and I actually got to enjoy this one seeing as how she got sick on our last long beach trip earlier this summer. She loved playing in the water and building sandcastles. Hope we can do this trip again. It was a blast!

Great End to a Busy Week

This past weekend our precious friends, Liz and Canaan, from Greenville, SC came to visit. We had a wonderful time with them! This was the first time Sweden and Canaan were both old enough to play together. It was so fun watching them interact (even if we did have a few "only child those are mine" moments from the blonde girl). I told Sweden after they left that I sure wish we lived closer to them. She asked why and I told her because "Liz is one of my dear, dear friends." Sweden then got a serious look on her face to which she replied, "Yeah,... Canaan is one of my dear, dear friends, too. I miss him." Gotta love good friends!!
They brought Sweden a new pink cash register! She LOVES it. It scans, has a conveyor belt and Steven gave her real money to put in it! Do I hear Publix calling?
If both children would have smiled for the camera at the same time I would have been thrilled. Unfortunately, it never happened!

I Wanna Play in the Sand!

I went to Mom's house at the beginning of last week and from there we made a quick trip to Gulf Shores. We had a great time!

Beautiful weather! Beautiful view!

Fun at Mimi's

So Sweden had a big time at Mimi's house. She got lots of new toys and got to go do lots of fun stuff. Her highlight of the week was going to the Natural Science Museum for "Monsters of the Deep" which we kindly refer to as "Fish of the Deep." Mom said she was a big fan of the honey bee exhibit. She came home with a new snake to play with (a toy snake of course). I'm sure it will be best pals with her toy roach! haha
